Dr. Julie Suarez
Dr. Julie Suarez received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Tech College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She started her veterinary career as an equine veterinarian in Kentucky. She then treated both large and small animals in New York City before moving to Colorado where she decided to dig her roots. Over the past 7 years her focus has shifted to small animal medicine. Dr. Julie’s special interests include dentistry, geriatric care, and internal medicine. She and her fluffy dog, Eiger, love Crested Butte and are so grateful and happy to be a part of this special community. When they are not at work, they spend their time mountain biking, skiing, trail running, backpacking, and all the other fun things outdoors.

Dr. Laura Ramos
Dr. Laura Ramos hails from the East Coast where she graduated from Ridge High School, before going on to Rutgers College. In 1992, she earned her DVM from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. After moving farther west, Dr. Laura opened the Animal Hospital of Crested Butte in 1997. The hospital expanded into a larger, more well-equipped space in July of 2021.
Clinically, Dr. Laura has many interests, including shelter and integrative medicine, and has been trained in veterinary acupuncture at CSU. She is grateful to be a member of an exceptional community in Crested Butte, where she and her husband have been raising two teenagers, two dogs, and two cats.
